Free Farm Tours at the Alpaca Farm – Unity, Maine

Since 2006, we’ve been welcoming visitors to Northern Solstice Alpaca Farm for memorable, educational farm tours. Nestled in the heart of Unity, Maine, our farm is home to a friendly herd of alpacas who are social, curious, and just a bit shy. While they aren’t fans of being touched, they love interacting with guests and never turn down the chance to be the center of attention—especially for photos!

During your visit, you’ll meet our entire herd and learn all about the fascinating world of alpacas. As a year-round education center, we’re passionate about sharing our knowledge of alpaca care, fiber, and farming. Our experienced staff is on hand daily to guide tours tailored to the interests of individuals, families, and groups of all kinds.

We invite you to bring a picnic and relax at our pasture-side tables—there’s nothing quite like lunch with a view of peaceful alpacas. Before you head out, be sure to explore our on-site gift shop, filled with cozy alpaca yarns, apparel, and one-of-a-kind gifts.

We are fully wheelchair and walker accessible, and we strive to make sure everyone feels welcome and included. To keep both guests and alpacas safe and calm, please leave dogs at home—our alpacas are easily startled by unfamiliar animals.

Group Reservations:
Groups of 10 or more—schools, summer camps, assisted living facilities, businesses, and other organizations—must book in advance. Please call Corry at (207) 356-2464 to schedule your visit.
