Take an alpaca for a walk
Looking for a little more time with an alpaca? Book a half hour long exclusive experience with an alpaca where you will have a brief tutorial to see how to harness the alpaca, handling lesson, shown walking techniques and with the company of a farm guide, take an alpaca for a walk. Each guest will take one of our participating alpacas on a wonderful stroll. After your brief orientation you will be on your way for an exciting yet relaxing and wonderful walk. This roughly half hour long adventure is a fantastic opportunity for selfies, group photos and a one-on-one experience with a beautiful alpaca. Up to 4 individuals may participate per session but others may accompany you during the walk. Children must be at least 12 years old, able to handle a large animal, and be accompanied by an adult prepared to assist with the walk. Participants are responsible for wearing appropriate footwear for walking on varied terrain. Walks will only take place in suitable weather - extreme heat, cold, rain or snow will require rescheduling your appointment. The safety and comfort of our alpacas is always top priority. Rain dates will be rescheduled for the next available appointment. During hunting season, and/or poor trail conditions, walks will take place on the farm property rather than on the trails.
The fee is $30 per person walking an alpaca. A 50% deposit is required at the time of the reservation. The deposit is refundable if at least 2 days notice of cancellation is given, or if we have to cancel your appointment for any reason. No refunds will be issued for same day cancellations or no shows by the guest.
